The Whitehawk Inn is a community owned and managed charitable organisation based in what was once the local pub. We are passionate about working with people to develop and fulfil their aspirations for success, improving their own lives and those of their families and the wider community. We have been at the heart of the community since we opened as a hub for learning and work in 1999 and are known for the professional and friendly support that we offer all our learners and centre users. People who find it hard to learn, including those who have been out of education for a long time, those with few formal qualifications and those with mental health needs or learning disabilities are particularly welcomed and supported.
We provide access to professional information and advice, give people local opportunities to learn and help people find work. The range of activities on offer is shaped by those who are involved, including centre users, learners, trustees, volunteers and partners from many sectors across Brighton & Hove. Together we develop and deliver a varied and dynamic environment that is open to all.
Our bright and welcoming café leads into a wealth of well resourced services, equipment and flexible meeting spaces. We are recognised as a centre of excellence, the place in Whitehawk where adults to find out more about how to get on in life.
