Do you want to learn a new skill, start a different hobby, or achieve a qualification?
If so, enrol on one of our courses. The Whitehawk Inn offers a variety of courses from yoga and dancing to counselling. You can learn a new skill such as computing or writing or relax with the art of painting.
We can organise free or low-cost childcare, help with course costs and exam fees and support you as you learn with us.

How do I sign up?
Please call Sasha and our reception team on 01273 682222 for more information on how to enrol. Alternatively you can find the information in our current course booklet just above.
Fee reductions
Each course has details of fee reductions based on your circumstances (see full list of courses above). Please ask for advice if you are unsure which category you fall into. You will need to provide recent evidence of your eligibility and your National Insurance number.
What do I need to bring to enrolment
We require full payment (including any exam fees) and proof of benefit to secure your place on your chosen course. You will need to tell us your National Insurance number when you enrol.

We provide professional information, advice and guidance, local opportunities to learn and help to find work.
We offer a number of great sessions to help you with your job and career planning.

Job Drop Inn
Want to look for a job or explore a new career direction? Job Drop Inn gives you access to PCs for career coaching, job search, and job applications. Get information on local "back to work" schemes and training projects. Come and improve your CV or browse the paper for todays jobs over a cuppa. If you cant make this session, please contact a member of Gateway Team on 682 222 for alternatives.

Advice
If you would like free, confidential specialist help with health issues, parenting, money management or debt and benefit advice, please ask at reception for an appointment with one of the following agencies:
Patient Advice & Liaison Service (PALS):
Free, confidential health advice and support for patients, families and their carers. Drop in and chat with a PALS volunteer about the NHS, health issues, social care services and local support groups.
Wednesdays 10am-12pm – Drop in
Family Information Service (FIS):
FIS offers a wide range of information for families with children, including support for tough times, free kids activities, school preference, childcare searches and information for those interested in a childcare career.

Money Advice and Community Support Service (MACS):
if you are in debt or at risk of debt: help to deal with creditors and set up repayment agreements; checking benefit entitlement; budgeting and help to write a financial statement and apply for charitable grants.

Clubs
We support local clubs by providing facilities at a reduced cost and information about local support and training. Members enjoy strong friendships, learning together and shared experiences through love of a common interest.
Belly Dancing Club
BD4U is open to anyone with a love of Middle Eastern dance. With over 150 male and female members, the group enjoys performing together at street parties, fetes and open days as well as Brighton Carnival and Brighton Pride. The groups enthusiasm is infectious! Come along and find out more at one of the drop ins or join a workshop in other dance including samba, salsa, modern jive, and burlesque. This friendly group welcomes people from all walks of life. Vocality Community Choir
Do you need something to lift your spirits through the winter? Then we have the community choir for you! Come along and enjoy the benefits of community singing - its fun, exciting, healthy, sociable and creative. No experience is needed and everyone is welcome, from absolute beginners to experienced crooners. The choir will sing popular songs from the 40s to 00s, old & new favourites, plus inspiring music from around the world. You can help choose the songs that are sung! Sessions run on Thursday evenings, 7-8.30pm. The venue is St Cuthmans Church, Whitehawk Way, BN2 5HW. Contact reception for more information on 01273 682 222.
